I was once a skinny bitch- not anymore.

I got this idea in a coupon book I was flipping through. Will add recipe and how-to’s later :D

Bleh

My internet has been really screwy lately- thus the reason why I haven’t posted lately.

I’m still on my gym kicks with the exception of last week (missed 3 days) :( I was becoming addicted to lifting weights, and I noticed I was getting bulky due to the absence of cardio and an all I can eat diet. I became frustrated with myself.

Therefore I’ve revamped my whole workout schedule- not too much lifting, more running. This week so far I’ve ran 16 miles. By tomorrow it should be 20 miles total. Next week, maybe I’ll bump it up to 21 and the week after 22. We’ll see how fast I progress.

I have a new goal for myself- and it’s a bit of a funny one. Once I get back down to 120 pounds, I can wear my heels around my boyfriend… He’s a tad taller than me (maybe an inch or two) and if I wore heels around him, I’d feel like an ogre, especially since he’s so fit- can you say 3% body fat? So if I were skinny and taller, it’ll look more accepting I think. Wish me luck!

Speaking of boyfriend, indoor soccer is amazingly fun, I’m alright I suppose but I wish I had more time to practice. This heat week we’re having is keeping me from wanting to go outside on hot turf. I’ll take a video of our team in action next game.

Until then,

Stay fit, stay positive :)

Sorry!

I haven’t been on my computer in AGES! (can you guys believe that? I can’t!)

Life has just been insane, but within the insanity- I always find time to escape to my sanctuary, which I’ve decided is the gym.

I’m going to post a new workout hopefully on a daily basis, and hopefully you folks can try it out & let me know how you like it!

I’m on week 12 of my p90x hybrid modified workouts. Today would be chest, shoulders, triceps and ab ripper!

I’ll start off with my favorite triceps exercise:

This exercise is great and burns like a mofo! haha. To build lean muscle, aim for higher repetitions at lower weights. High reps are usually 12-18 per set. I usually do 4 sets of 15 for a total of 60 pull downs. Lower reps with higher weights give more of that bulky muscle appearance. Low reps are usually 8-12.

If you don’t have access to cables, here is a great alternative:

Bench dips burn just as much and is a move found in p90x! Do as many as you possibly can with these until the last 3 burn deep and/or you lose your form.

GOODLUCK!

Skinny Bitch tip of the day:

Pick a goal, no matter how big or small and take strides to make it.

EDC was a big goal for me. I wanted to make sure I was a skinny bitch (hello kitty dolls are expensive you know!). && now that EDC is over I felt like I had nothing to work towards- and so my eating habits and my gym trips became more rich and less frequent.

So I am here to announce that my next goal is to train hard for my soccer team. Yes, I’m joining an indoor coed soccer team which starts at the beginning of August.

Soccer is probably one of the most difficult sports I’ve ever tried to play. I become exhausted in a few minutes of dribbling the ball up and down the field. It’s both physically and mentally exhausting. But I’m up for the challenge!

I die.

P.S. Go Netherlands. ;)

Skinny Bitch tip of the day:

Vitamin Shoppe is having a giveaway on some Gaspari blender bottles. They’re only $0.01 plus 3 dollar shipping.

Primo Blender bottles run about 9 bucks a pop. This is a great deal :)

Click here to order yours today!

Thanks Tony for the heads up!

Skinny Bitch tip of the day:

It isn’t all about the amount of time you spend at the gym to see results. Recovery days are important.

Take a break once in a while. ;)

(but that doesn’t mean anything more than 2 days of rest!- muscle atrophy)

Skinny Bitch tip of the day:

You can’t expect to be perfect everyday, with the perfect diet and perfect exercise routine.

Everyone has an off day, where they don’t eat what’s necessarily “good” for them, nor do they go to the gym as planned.

Today is my day…

I’m not going to get down in the dumps about it. What’s done is done. It just means I have to train harder tomorrow and keep my head up.

Heads up skinny bitches.

:)

PS I love your tumblr post Jessie. Thanks for calling me a skinny bitch ;)

Karma’s a bitch

Can’t help but notice my childhood bullies trying to add me on FACEBOOK.

Thanks for making fun of my weight while growing up, and for somewhat out-casting me. I know I wasn’t the coolest kid, nor the prettiest and definitely not the skinniest, but dammit karma is a bitch isn’t it?

Cheers to you. I have a more banging bod than you.

;)

Back to reality

Vegas was fun, I sadly didn’t put my running shoes into use. There was no gym at the hotel we were staying at (PARIS). First morning however, I did my prison exercises which consisted of wall chairs, squats lunges, jumping, push ups and my dear AB RIPPER X routine. Gotta make do with what you have ;)

…the rest of the time there was all a big downhill blur.

SO DRUNK. LOL

So here I am attempting to detox. I would not recommend this for anyone since, I am not a professional but it seems to be I hope it’s working for me.

A look into my DIET&EXERCISE

Before I ate anything today I went to the gym.

Had a redline pre workout: definitely not a detox beverage…

Peach Mango is gross, don’t get it.

EXERCISE: 1/2 hour doing biceps and back today

1 hour jogging/walking approximately 5 miles.

Sauna to sweat some more.

DIET:

1 medium sweet potato, forked and microwaved for 5 minutes. Ate in half potato increments.

Nutrition Facts Calories 103 (429 kJ) % Daily Value 1 Total Fat 0.2g < 0.1% Sat. Fat 0.1g < 0.1% Cholesterol 0mg 0% Sodium 41mg 2% Total Carbs. 23.6g 8% Dietary Fiber 3.8g 15% Sugars 9.6g   Protein 2.3g   Calcium 43.3mg   Potassium 541.5mg

Information based on 1 medium 5” long by 2” wide sweet potato. Sweet potato as you can see is great caloric-ally. Plus, this skinny bitch vegetable keeps me full. :D

I also had a 100 calorie pack of almonds and walnuts.

Also I’ve consumed about 2 quarts of water already and I plan on drinking lots more in hopes of flushing out my system.

*note* it is POSSIBLE to get water poisoning, so drink with caution in small amounts throughout the day

I am going out to eat tonight as well, so I don’t know what I’ll be eating then. Something healthy I hope!

Viva Las Vegas

Rule of thumb: Never set yourself up for failure!

I’m about to leave for Vegas for the weekend. I packed my running shorts and shoes. It’s better safe than sorry!
